i have made this and its working .... thanks for sharing
just want to know if there is any relation for finding the exact values of the variable resistors to be used instead of R3 for a specific frequency.... or a frequency dependent formula you can provide me with the basic calculations ...

Would this work in jamming a Sumo Robot's IR sensor? |

Is this model#: CML105M50 from radioshack an appropriate capacitor for C2 in the circuit? And what is the desired ma and voltage specs on the high output ir leds?

Does the jammer really work? I dont mean that in a rude way but i built the jammer and it doesnt work. If it does work than what are the common problems that might be the reason mine doesnt work. Also, is there a variable resistor in the jammer? If so where is it on the shematics?

USE A 10K variable resistor instead of the reg. 10k, this way you can change frequencies instead of having the circuit just set to one. *Also I removed the R1 component because the lights don't even come on unless you do. |

Here is a microcontroller based IR Jammer. I bought the kit version and assembled it in about 15 minutes. It kills everything I have tried it on!
Here are the details.

Here is the kit (or you can just make your own from the plans)
