I believe that it would have been either one from a wreaker, or a restored one froma wreaker... Well, thats what i PLAN on getting... BTW, I may as well ask this, do you think it is worth be building an electris gocart? I am old enough to drive, but have no where to drive, couldn't be bothered getting my licence, and can't afford a car.. :D Anyway, I think it'd be kewl to have a "HIGH POWER" Electric go cart.. :)

I used the starter from a Honda Civic...
If you want to build an electric go-kart, do it properly. Good a good DC motor of about 1HP or so rated for continuous duty. Pick up a good motor controller from 4QD or Curtis. Run a good 48V system.

I don't believe I have any pictures. At the time I didn't have a digital camera, and the kart only existed for a week or so.

No electric kart planned, but I am planning to make another go-kart this summer (if I have time). It will be a tube frame, all wheel drive (4 wheels) 2 seater, powered by a 1 rotor Wankel engine. Should be fun.

No, there won't be off-roading. All my karts are cruisers, for the street or bike path.

Absolutely nothing. The trick is to simply not get caught.
