You now me, I like model things that work. Anyone has any ideas for a small Driller. Maybe i'll hit water! if i dont i will drill a deep hole and put a fire cracker in it. I will build a small one that can stay on over night as i sleep and it drill. Maybe i will put it in an antbed and let it drill then put a stick of fire cracker in it. Any ideas

there is a small comerciall one that has a lawnmower engine (vertical shaft) underneath a tripod .... anyways unless you live along the cost where there is mainly a sand undersoil, drill heads are expensive

do you realize how deep you have to drill to reach water...you could have a hard time using a power drill wich would also have a hard time drilling through rock, but i guess it would be possible...as for using a firecracker, you really wont get much of a response because it would be hard for the firework to get air

No a fire CRACKER not a fire work thing
fire crackers dont go in the air they are like small sticks of dynomite. Under ground "Water Tables" are just a few feet under the soil. Its not fully water in some areas, but mud like.

Well you must live next to the coast...our neighborhood well is around 1000 ft deep once you get past our first foot of soil you hit limestone... youd probly have to replace the bit every 25 ft... as for the fire CRACKER what difference does it make, it still need O2 to burn

if you want to blow something up all you need is some chemical fertilizer, diesel, and newspaper. make shure you have enought time to get about 100yards away behind a metal plate about 2" thick before it goes off...

It goes without saying that burying any explosive in the ground is very dangerous. And don't underestimate the power of diesel and fertilizer. HUGE power. You could end up blowing a crater in half your block.
