How did you know that that caused the outage? They dont tell us notin in the US. Are at lease i didnt see it! lol im in texas and did not expereace the outage

The outage was caused by a local overload, which tripped the safety and shut down the grid. The local overload (somewhere in New York) was caused by a small fire at a substation.

I keep hearing that they havent figured out the exact cause, and that alot of the theories they had there finding werent true

so yeah im really late on the reply, but im browsin around today... yeah what i heard finally was the power outage started in cleveland,, but i didnt care much cause in good ol SC we didnt feel a thing... we were out of power for a week and a half this past feb, and we still went to school and all (the school had power) i didnt miss tv but it sucked only because im scared of the dark ...
