Hi Aaron, I too am a comTec (14yrs exp) and learning to become a programmer now. Anyway I am in the process of building my own website and adding content for it which includes a blog called tecHax by macTec and would like to add the video on soldering and also some parts of your written how-to (I may edit it a bit for my own needs though).

I will post a link to your site and forum to acknowledge that you created the video + the written how-to is in whole or in part (if I edit it a bit) yada, yada etc... Sort of erm thingy, lol. And if you want to have a backlink to your site on mine. You do not have to link to mine if you don't want to either, especially if you don't want to be associated with it's follow up ppost where I give a tutorial on how to also use your soldering iron and a Dremel to brand your pets as a cheaper alternative to the RF tagging. lol just kidding. (Man! where did I come up with that one?)

Moving on, I wanted to write this to you as do not want to just use someone else's work without posting the source of anything I may use. Thanks for your time and I will send you a copy of the page I will be posting so you can look it over and tell me if you are OK with the end result. This is so that you don't have to cringe upon seeing something that you wish you hadn't let your name be put to. haha.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to checking out the rest of your site and forum. I used the forum post because I didn't see a PM link anywhere. And I don't have the time to set up the ICQ and or install Yahoo messenger which I don't use myself, please feel free to remove this topic after you have read it as it isn't really to do with electronic per-say. And have a great day.

re: Feedback for your forum. You may want to change the default for showing posts from "within the last 30 days" to "show all" instead. As some of the sections haven't had any updates in that time period and any nubs that don't notice the default may think that the forum is a dud and not come back.

EDITED:
lol, the pop-up I got while writing the email was from the above reply

I'd prefer the soldering tutorial content remain unique to this site.
