Hi guys, I just recently obtained a free riding lawn mower (With out an engine) and am going to make a dune buggy. I plan to make a new frame out of steel and reuse the steering and transmission.

You may be disappointed with exactly how primitive the transmission is. It's going to be a torque converter, a hydrostatic transmission, or something like a snow blower (chain derailer).

This is a very good frame and transmission. I just ripped off the top parts of the mower, and found the transmission is very simple. It is powered by pulleys.
