Have researched and the 1k series resistor goes in between the top node of R3 and top node of R1. 100uF capacitor from that node
To ground. Am I right?

Is this all the mods that you sudjest. Another author said change two 100ohm resistors. They send too many milliamps to small transistors & gave a value of 1k each.
