Unrelated (so what else is new?) but I couldn't help but post this.
It's been my favourite car since 1997, but this one is a race version. The expression on his face is priceless when he puts his foot down. The gear change sounds are so epic. Mouth hits the floor.

And another semi related video to my previous unrelated video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CLXi1al9zA&NR=1&feature=fvwp
The need for speed franchise has been active since 1994 and I've been along for the ride. EA Canada started the franchise. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Need_for_Speed Some great memories from these games. |

I just wish I had time to sit down and watch them all. What is annoying is that my set top box (WDTVLive) doesn't access the Watch Later list so it is hard to keep track of what to watch. I hate watching on the small computer screen. |

Neither does my Roku, so I just put them in Favorites or make a playlist. |

At the end of 2009 I built a HTPC for my family. It's hooked up to a 42" Plasma TV with 5.1 surround sound. It's still being used and they absolutely love it. Media Centre does have some annoying quirks but they aren't much of a problem.
Specs: AMD Quad core CPU (>=2.4GHz) 4GB System RAM On-board ATI GC (HDMI, DVI & VGA) 7.1 surround sound capable 2TB RAID BluRay drive Application specific case with LCD readout Dual HDTV tuners USBs fire-wire e-sata mic-in headphone-out Gigabit ethernet (so we can watch anything, anywhere. Including T.V.)
I think it weighs about 10kg.
When I get time I'll take some pictures of it. It's due for a check-up anyway so I'll take some pictures of the inside. Last time I checked, there wasn't any dust build-up, it all seems to cling to the intake vents which is only an earthed metallic grill.
The machine cost $1000 but it was worth every cent. I rarely have to intervene with its operation. It just works, and any non-tech person can use it without a problem. |

You should see my computer. It's not much but it has an AMD Phenom II quad core, 8 gigs of RAM, a nice video card with 2 HDMI and a DVI (I forgot) and an ASRock mobo to replace the old Asus one. |
If you don't have the time to do it right, when will you have the time to do it over? |

Mine costed $800. But I wanted something that would still be fast and play modern games for many years to come. |

That sounds fast. My main computer (the best in the house) has only 6GB of RAM and sometimes that's not enough for what I do. I've put down a figure of 5 years for its life-span and I think it's already taken two of them. This computer has a i7-920 CPU and an EVGA Geforce 285 (1GB) Graphics Card. Steel case with two blue Cold Cathode tubes for eye candy. Power supply is a high quality Thermaltake 650W I think.
Case: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8042
The assembled computer weighs about 15kg.
I would love to have one of these or even an ordinary SSD: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=210_902_909&products_id=14966 A direct connection into the nervous system of my computer. Doesn't get any faster than that. |

"Come get some!" The demo for Duke Nukem Forever came out on the 3rd but only first access club members can get it. Who cares! On the 10th my computer will automatically download the full game from the Steam servers.
In the meantime I can watch demo videos people are already putting up on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d70og-hRpQo&feature=related
"It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all outta gum."
How long has it bean? 13 years? About friggin time!
History: Lots of videos and articles have been made of the history of this gaming franchise but here is one I just found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyQ6MyyREGw&feature=relmfu |

My friend played the demo and said the demo was quick and missed a lot of stuff.
I still have my reciept from 1999 from Gamestop. They'd better give me my game. |

LOL! Let me know if they accept your receipt... If you don't mind me asking.
I wonder how many others still have their pre-order. I have a pre-order but it was placed two weeks ago.
Hey! Steam is now allowing me to "PRE-LOAD" DNF! WooOOoooo! I'll be up till midnight waiting for it. Great timing though - right before my exams. |

Oh, it's about his kid. Good for him, but I dislike children and especially babies.
It's also a sign of the impending apocalypse that Duke Nukem Forever is released. |
