How long in hours typically should I be charging a 12V 7A battery with a 12V 500mA charger for a full charge? There is no indicator light on the charger and I don't own a battery tester to know if it's fully charged. It's to power a Razor Go-Kart given to me for my son. Thank you for your time!

One problem with using a cheap charger is that you don't know if the battery is slightly discharged or nearly fully discharged. You need to guess at the amount of time for charging. You might damage the battery by over-charging it. You need to use an "automatic" battery charger that detects when the battery is fully charged then it shuts off.

Get a voltmeter, and charge the battery until it reads 14.2 volts for cycle use, or 13.8 volts for float use.
