Checked with AutoLoc?

I've not seen any that read finger prints though.

I've seen them on TV to gain entrance into a secure room I've never saw anything like it on a car it might be an origanal application/idea.They might be some kind of lazer fingerprint identifier, not sure,I have a few ideas like aoutmatic darkining glass just like the glasses, they get darker in the sun and lighter in the dark.hotrodders like me would eat this stuff up if it became availible

Biometric fingerprint readers are available as loose units connectable to a pc via a usb cable (for example it's used in the resturant industry to id waiters), sofware is also included, however as far as i know it must be connected to a pc or laptop for it to work. but it might be possible to convert 1 for your requierments. You could also try alarm and access control manafacturers, the might have a better idea how to do it. Might be expensive though.
