hi every one , audioguru can u please tell me how i can use pic 16f54 ic for modified sine wave inverter i have a ups which is using this programe able ic but its out put is square wave can i convert its out put to MSW . and is there any advantage to use this ic inspite of cd4047 . thanks.

It is a waste to use a micro-controller to make a simple Modified-Sine-Wave stepped wave-form.
It can easily make a pure PWM sine-wave waveform.

As I recall, the 16C54 is quite a primitive micro, with no interrupts (not even one for the timer) and no A/D convertor. If the flash version is the same it would be quite unsuitable.
