Other then the memory problem and the lower Mah what are the differences between them? I always thought that Ni Cads can put out a higher current for a longer time period due to the discharge curve but I'm not sure that is absolutely true.

Out-of-date information is deceiving.

Energizer have datasheets for their batteries on their website.
Their Ni-MH cells have a higher current rating and a much greater capacity than their Ni-Cads, so they don't make Ni-Cads anymore.

For many years, Sanyo made Ni-Cad batteries for models. I have a Sanyo Ni-MH battery for my electric model airplane and it works perfectly at very high currents.
