Does any one know of a controller for these ( http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/markets/mms/products/discretes/key_solutions/multimarket/sensors/ ) magnetoresistive ICs so that they can be used as compasses. All of the compass devices I can find are ridiculously expensive, but yet you find them in watches for around 20 bucks.
Anyone know of a good fairly precise digital compass that can be used with a microcontroller? Im hoping to find something with better than 2 degrees of accuracy, but not out of my programming skills to attach to a PIC (the whole reason I cannot use the resistors by themselves )
Thanks for any input,
Brian
