Is it possible to modify the mains powered handrill 500Watt and use a 1000W 12VDC to 240VAC sine wave inverter and with a couple of gears create a go-kart?

I still prefer to use the mains powered drill so it could have enough power to carry some heavy load. Do I need to use a square wave, modified sine wave or pure sine wave inverter to run this drill efficiently? But with the mains powered 500W drill it would make the go kart speed fast?

actually, try building the cart first and have an extension cord. if the drill works good, then start working on the power supply. If not, then you need to find another power source.
This way you wont waste time and money if on the circuitry if the drill doesnt preform the way you wanted it to

Yeah, I would try that first.

Instead of using a drill motor which will be difficult to power, use a lower voltage DC motor. MUCH less complicated and much less expensive.
