Or you can go High Tech or the thing. Have a laser and photoresistor connected to some relay that realeses a fast trap or Bow'n arrow sort thing

I tried to trap him/her for several weeks, but was unsuccessful. It seems that the mice would simply eat the bait.  However, I did strap down all the junk above the car so that it can't fall if the little bastard disturbs it. I have not seen him/her lately, so it seems that it has moved out. Probably because I've been in the garage lately alot. And, there's a 3 litre pan of coolant just sitting on the floor...Maybe he drank and died?

Mmmm... yummy coolant. I wonder why so many things that are really poisonus for us don't taste worse? For instance they put this bitrex compound in some househould cleaners to help keep kids from chugging them. And cyanide tastes like almonds. I've heard this is because almonds once contained deadly quantities of cyanide, but over the millenia they evolved to the non-toxic state they are now (so that things would eat them and propagate the seeds/nuts). I've also been told that they still contain the tiniest amount of CN, but not enough to do you any harm. Like arsenic in apple seeds. Can anyone confirm or deny the stuff about the almonds?

Don't want to cause a fire with HV....I was going to use the shotgun, but my neighbours almost called the police when the saw me in the backyard with it....Ultrasonics is probably the best idea, and I will go buy one of those things in the next few days...
