Posted - Feb 05 2011 : 03:30:16 AM Oh come on! Here's video Teaser number 1. It's only five seconds long! WTF! It's been out for less than a day and it has already got 291,546 views.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leRlViWiynU
They did the same thing with her 2009 single "3". Britney's camp are building up the hype.
P.S. I just read on her official website that there will be 14 teaser videos. So I suppose that will be one each day. |

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 10:38:58 AM I think I know what you mean regarding her voice. I'm not bothered by it. Just another wind instrument - you either hate it, like it or love it. A lot of people seem to like it.

As you can tell I'm more often interested in the sort of off-beat sound that a lot of others would hate. Always found it funny that someone would say "Kraftwerk sucks" then go and listen to 50 Cent.
You know what I would prefer out of the two. I hate (C)Rap.
Me being a Britney fan could be attracting other fans to your website, which means those advertisements are getting a good workout. So in a way I guess that's probably the only reason why you would like her.
The single CD of the "Stronger" song that I posted actually included an instrumental version of the song on the disk.
HIAM "Hold It Against Me" has already spawned several remixes and I am listening to one now. The music video preview is gonna be released soon.
I have a few thousand pictures of her synced on my laptop and desktop PC. LOL! I use Picassa to organize them. At one of the shopping centers I go to there is a shop that has several posters of her on their windows. |

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 10:09:07 AM After watching that video I am reminded again why I don't like Britney Spears: I can't stand the sound of her voice.
Vocal performances are always superior in a studio because mistakes are easy to cover up, and as many takes for a single lyric can be done as necessary to make the music as processed and perfect as required. A agree about the vocals in most cases. But I don't really see much music in what she performs either. I understand that others may like it.

Posted - Jan 30 2011 : 03:22:44 AM Britney's vocals were good once but they have dropped off through the years. If it was her voice which she was trying to sell then I wouldn't be talking about her today. She is a business woman and has obviously succeeded somehow at what she does best - being a performer, entertainer and a musician. Her music is only half of what she does. I would love to go back in time to visit her early performances. Her performances in recent years I definitely wouldn't see - not my cup of tea. It's music, not vocal talent that I care about. To me vocals are just another wind instrument.
It makes sense to have her own backup track in her performances because of the way she dances. She wants the music to sound good and not flutter every time she busts a move. I won't sugar coat it but her vocal performance is better in a studio than when she is performing live. Understandable.
To be honest I only hear auto tune in a few of her recent songs, and I think I have a good ear for spotting things like that.
It's ironic she made a song back in 1999 called "(You Drive Me) Crazy". Then several years later it turned out to be true, and the people who drove her crazy were the paparazzi.
An epic live performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9veBQ2V70o&playnext=1&list=PL03BC129FB2FA4F39
Is there auto tune in this one? If there is they did a very good job to cover it up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRHAXSRcSH0

Posted - Jan 29 2011 : 10:27:17 AM One of the reasons I don't listen to Britney Spears (one of the many, many reasons ) was that I have always thought about how artificial her voice is. How much editing and autotune goes into her performances? It's hard to hold a candle to a female artist with an actual amazing voice, like Duffy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zQP6vgWiek
Hm, I'm running out of good Kraftwerk. At this point I'm starting to only hit the obscure stuff which isn't that great, in my opinion. I've had Neon Lights on my playlist for years, but I don't know why and I think it will be deleted soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YCZVeIJ8xk |

Posted - Jan 25 2011 : 6:01:48 PM Yeah I've seen that autotune one. Pretty funny.
I'm too busy to think about Paris, and if I weren't I still wouldn't. What the hell does Paris do anyway? I'm so hot. She gets all wet and soapy, slides all over a car and eats hamburgers. Then she goes and sucks some ... for dessert.
Aaron, were you like the guy in my last post when you found your Cosmo? LOL! Hard to imagine.
Keep the videos comming Aaron. You are doing a good job.
Cool Kraftwerk. Still none of their music rings a bell.
I became actively interested in Britney and few other artists in 2009. The artists all had one thing in common, they had all produced hit songs with a Swedish producer named Max Martin.
Here is one of my favorite song's by Britney. The video is great too. It came out in the year 2000. Great new Millenium music. Along with this song were a series of remixes made during the time of release all the way to the present. I have heaps of official remixes and fan made ones as well. The song has featured on Glee. Aaron, this video also has a car in it.

Posted - Jan 25 2011 : 11:15:00 AM Wow, I don't know what to think about that. Some kid acts like an idiot on camera in an obviously faked video and gets 80,000+ views?! Nowhere near as good as Leave Britney Alone, which was at least real.
If there is one thing that can make Leave Briteny Alone better, it's autotune! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9EuBxpVUic
So no comments on part 9? Not even anything about my awesome descriptiveness and references to Paris Hilton's orifi?
Let's not forget Kraftwerk - Computerliebe (Computerlove): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMxrOOG6jAY |

LOL! Leave Britney alone! LOL! The song is already doing very well though and has broken records. It is a change from her previous songs that's for sure. You'll probably hear the song on the radio. Her voice is quite distinguishable IMO.

I can take music with or without lyrics, really. Many times the lyrics ruin otherwise good music. It would be quite nice if all music was available multitrack so that we could just select "No lyrics" when we listen. Then again, that might make parody much easier which would do nothing but piss off record companies (even though parody is specifically allowed in copyright law).
Kraftwerk plays their stuff these days on their laptops. In the past it was analog synth and they would just stand in front of keyboards. I quite like the monolithic style of their performances. Too bad there probably won't be another and I missed the last one in 2009.
Here is some old and original Kraftwerk, Pocket Calculator, but played fairly recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eI3gCWL-sY
It is on a faster tempo than the original.
As for the Cosmo videos, part 9 will be out soon. Will it be tomorrow? Perhaps... |
