So I'm planning on taking the Omni apart(Thinkin about it even before receiving it..) and figuring out a way to build some real spinning platters in order to facilitate scratching. I'm thinking either buying some old turntables and fitting them with sensors similar to whatever I'm gonna find inside the omni, the belt driven turntables might be kinda sloppy so I'm thinking of building the platters myself including a motor and a sensor. I'll post any developments in the project, I'm not sure on the feasibility right now and how much money I'll need for it... Someone has built a midi controller completely from scratch.
