That will run using steam or alcohol etc. That could power a small toy boat or a small toy car with a good speed. Or even a rocket engine that can propel a small air craft (about 1-2 pounds).
Oh yea. Happy SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!

Or if you have access to a junk yard you could gut a turbo unit from a car and try to build your own turbine. There was a guy in Australia that did that. Search for 'jet powered beer cooler'

Posted - May 24 2005 : 2:44:24 PM To "build" such an engine, you will need access to a fairly well equipped machine shop. At the minimum, you will need a lathe and a mill.
Rocket engines are a lot easier to build, since you just need to make the outer casing, nozzle and fuel.

Posted - May 24 2005 : 2:01:05 PM I had a site with a bunch of small steam engines, but I have long since lost it. It wouldnt be hard, try and adapt pipe fittings for each of the parts. For example, a 1.5" copper pipe could serve as the cylinder.
