Do you think it could operate at 3V and output 9V-14V?(dual AA)
I wish to make a transformerless supply for an FM transmitter as much as possible, without using a 9V battery. but still have a long range of transmission... or in powering a headphone amplifier... not to mention, ripple noise from the inverter...
A ferrite xformer won't fit on my chosen case(too tall), that's why I chose it.
Thanks! *too many questions...

The inductor might be the same size as a ferrite transformer.
Its air core, I can make it long so that it will be small...
you can't bend a ferrite core horizontally...
