Hosted at Scarborough Mazda with the proceeds going to the Hospital For Sick Children, Mazdaspeed North featured over 120 Mazdas with over 70 rotary vehicles. The show was a huge success and drew a large crowd, raising $2000 for the cause.
The highlights for me were being able to get my first close look at an original 1967 Cosmo Sport 110S. It is interesting to see how much things both change and stay the same in the rotary over the years. Also owned by Scarborough Mazda was their 20B Eunos Cosmo. It is rare to see one in original and such good condition. I was able to make myself useful by helping a local race team with their Megasquirted full bridgeport 2nd gen race car as they needed some direction from an experienced 'Squirter.
I had a lot of fun and it was great seeing such a large and well organized event happen locally. With any luck this will become a yearly meet.
