Hi all. I have been trying to figure out a time delay using a 4011 IC using the equation supplied on this site with the circuit also. When using the equation R1*C1*0.85=T for a 20 second Time and 5K Ohm pot as R1 I am getting 4.7pF but it is not working. Can someone please double check my calcs for the value of C1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

4.7pF is almost nothing. Try 4700uF x 5k = 23.5 seconds x 0.85= 19.98 seconds.
Or 470uF with 50k ohms.
Or 47uF with 500k ohms.
Or 4.7uF with 5M.
