I have never started a religious or atheistic conversation with anyone, nor will I ever unless we are already on some common ground. I always let other people start the conversation, then I engage at my choosing and I try to pick my fights wisely, so to speak; some people arn't worth the effort. I have better things to think about then to care about what someones beliefs (or lack of) are.
Pricks, well... Some (people) are. I may have some common ground with someone who calls themself an atheist, but hey they could be a prick just like anyone else who doesn't. Obviously.
