What's the enhancement? Looks like the typical YouTube player to me, as one would see in Chrome. |

Oh no! How could you tell?
I became an active fan of hers in 2009. I did hear songs through the years on the radio by her, but I just added them to my collection and that was it. Up until 2009 I probably only had 3 songs of hers. The reason why I became a fan is due to my discovery of many things.
I have thrown together a short musical interest log in my music folder which I occasionally update. I have decided to chuck it here.
quote:
Log created on 29/07/2010 Type: Personal log
This file contains the times at which I became interested in cirtain music and artists.
1995: *Ace of base* The "It's a beutiful life" song was aquired somewhere between 2002 and 2005. In 2009 I found that Max Martin had produced this song after gaining fan status for Britney Spears in 2009.
1997/1998: *Venga boys* Their songs were first heard in the later few year of primary school. When I first heard their songs "We like to party!" & "Boom boom boom." I loved the sythesizer sounds that were in their music and their overal dancability of their music. Discovered "torrents" and downloaded some of their songs in 2005/2006. Decided to download their songs after I had heard one of their songs on the radio on my MP3 player when I was going off to sleep.
1998 & 2009: *Britney Spears* I first came interested in her with her first song "Hit me baby one more time". The song had very nice syhtesizers and an "island like" sound about it which was seemed to be quite common with Max Martin's music and other music of the 90's. Interest increased to fan status in 2009 after hearing the circus song. Mass content collection occured after this, including music videos, music, and other videos. Max martin was discovered. Then she came out with the hit song "3" which reinforced interest in her music and also in Max Martin after finding that he had produced this song.
December 2010: Learnt that Britney Spears will release a new album in March 2011 and the lead single for that album will be released in January. After looking up Britney Spears in google I learnt that dancer auditions for the music video "Hold it Against me" are being held (just after Christmas) and I found which song was used in rehersals. "Robyn - Criminal Intent". After hearing that song I was hooked and so I downloaded a few more songs by Robyn.
2009: *Backstreet Boys* Interest not gained until I found out this group had a tie to Britney Spears through Max Martin (Same Producer). I was not interested in their songs at all prior due to mainly hearing their songs on crappy speakers.
2009: *Celeine Dion* Interest gained after finding out that Max Martin had produced a few songs for her that I liked.
2010: *NSYNC* Interest gained after hearing the "Bye bye bye" song in the "Best music videos of 2000" Torrent. A slight interest was gained in 2009 with the Britney Spears and Max Martin connection, more specifically through a fan posted video on YouTube showcasing some of the songs Max Martin had made.
2011: *Alexis Jordan* "Hapiness" after hearing it a few hours before 2011
Found out who "September" is (Swedish singer) and play regularly "Cry for you".
On my birthday Britney Spears releases her new single "Hold it against me". On the same day I finally watched "For the Record".
It is now 11/01/2011 and I downloaded "Hold it Against me" from iTunes. It is the first song I have ever bought. I have still yet to buy a music CD.

Is this the guy that some girls were confusing for Aaron Cake, just because they had the same first name? How thick can you get? I remember Aaron complaining about this years ago. |

I just moved to Google Chrome a few days ago. I much prefer it to the much loved firefox.
Anyway...Yes Johnny, I do remember that horrid song. Just looking at some of the artists in you log makes me cringe :P
"Happiness" is a great song. Even without the lyrics (I admit I do like her voice). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2PM5iTlmRE
I quite enjoy some deadmau5 now and again (He is Canadian, not that it has anything to do with anything).
I like Dubstep and Drum and Bass. Just recently I have been getting into this too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tftp15e_Kdg (not sure what the pic is about, but whatever, it's the music that counts).
I've now probably destroyed your ears haha
Have a nice day :) |

Hi Adrian,
I use IE7 (Just moved to IE8), Chrome and Firefox.
Take a look at this, it's interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_music_artists
I listen to "Happiness" a lot, as well as the deadmau5 sample it was derived from. Kylie Minogue has also used his sample, but I don't like her song.
I respect what others listen to, even if I hate it. The song you posted wouldn't make me listen to it over and over again, and that's what I look for in a song.
In this year 2001 song I love the melodies, percussion, synthesisers and the singing chipmunk is unique too. Can you guess what it is? The only part I don't like is the nonsensical spray of lyrics spread throughout.

I would like to give a warning to everyone thinking of upgrading to IE8. Don't do it yet. It crashes a lot, at least for me it does. So far, out of chrome, firefox and IE8; firefox is the most stable. IE7 is the second most stable but it has a major security flaw, as I have found out. IE7, IE8 and chrome are the fastest to start. Acording to an article I read a couple of months ago, IE7 is the best for making your laptop battery last longer per charge. |

Back again. I've gotta take breaks from my work don't I?
Listening to your song again I picked up on the tribal percussion used. I do like that kind of percussion.
Heard of Thunderpuss?
This music duo utilizess tribal percussion in their songs(remixes). And guess who they have remixed?
Ohhhhh yeah. The number of times I have listened to this baby. Wooo! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCSUakkAAno
And another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zy5z9OS0LXU
There's a lot more where they came from.
And one more before I hit the sack: It's not tribal, but it's a great remix IMO of one of BS's gems. The remix group is called "Soul Solution" and was active around the same time as Thunderpuss. I distinctly remember the music video playing at shops in my shopping center complex. The white clothes by the beach and blue water are a great and memorable combination. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6ktfj3Rri4 |

I did like Scooter for a time but I went off them quickly.
No, I have never heard of Thunderpuss. To be honest, I didn't enjoy any of those three songs in your last post. They all made me want to destroy my computer lol. But thanks for sharing.
By the way, here is the original of the first song that I posted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKTBKR__kzY
Can't you tell I like bass? :)
Have a good one. |

No problem. I usually don't express my opinion on other peoples preffered music - or maybe just lightly, if you're wondering. I will say on this occasion a few things about your "song" and leave it at that. It mostly lacks musical quality(key) and it's far too repetitive. Hardly any effort is required to make a "song" like that. Not exactly a winning combination; but to you it is. I will be nice and say "THAT'S ALL MY OPINION". For all I care you could build a 555 oscillator, generate 50Hz bass with it and hook it up to your headphones and call it "music". You can call it "music" and I would say "okay"! LOL! Say goodbye to your 50Hz and all of it's 3rd order harmonics in your hearing range then! Hehe.
I don't think I have any songs in my collection that sound like yours. If I do, I will post it here.
We've got a bunch of hippies living next door and they listen to music ALL THE TIME. I just put "Oops I Did It Again" on repeat, turn the volume up full and leave the house for the day. Only kidding.
Please post more so we can puke over each others music and say how much we would like to destroy our computers.
Now for something different. I also like NewAge music. Yes, I have a diverse musical mind. Enjoy... or at least try to.
