I am interested in building an DC/AC inverter of 5000 watts.How can I get the exact calculations and diagram for such inverter.

You forgot to say the waveshape. Square-wave, modified sine-wave or pure sine-wave?
You forgot to say the output voltage.
You forgot to say the frequency.

Use simple arithmatic. For 5000W from a 12V battery, the battery current will be more than 5000/12= 417A.

Where will you find a 5000W transformer?
