Does anyone know how to interface with hardware (parallel and serial ports) in Windows7 and XP using Visual Basic or Borland C++?

Many Thanks and Best Regards

Not off the top of my head but I was able to do it once in MS-DOS, Windows 98 and maybe XP. There are kits that use the USB to connect to an interface board which you can then hookup to other devices. It might be easier to go that route.

Just search this subforum for "visual basic parallel port windows xp" or similar. It has been discussed many times.
