I was thinking of making a system for counting of goods on conveyor belt using photo diode and laserlight. i've managed all th emechanical portion of this project but I will be happy if u provide me the circuit for counting goods in conveyor belt using photo diode.
There is a sample counter on the circuits page on this site which can be expanded to as many digits as you require (it explains how on the page).
A phototransistor may be slightly easier. Just shade one in a tube and have an IR LED shine at it. Connect the collector to your voltage source through a series resistor and the emittor to the input of the counter IC.
