I bought a part from rapid which is basically a ferrite rod with a MW and LW coils slid onto it, http://www.rapidonline.com/Electrical-Power/Transformers/Ferrite/MW-LW-Ferrite-rod-aerial/73119/kw/ferrite+rod. Both coils, i'm not sure which is LW or MW, one has more coils than the other, have four connection wires, sleeved in blue, red, black and one unsleeved. Im guessing one is for the aerial connection and two are to connect across a variable capacitor/tuning capacitor and not sure about the other, I could be totally wrong though. I need to know which wire to connect to the aerial/capacitor, or shouldn't it matter? Also please advise me as to which coil is for which frequency MW or LW. I am working on breadboard by the way. Thanks My circuit is similar to this http://www.zen22142.zen.co.uk/Circuits/rf/amrec.html and is very basic I know so please dont be critical just give me a straight answer as to how to connect the coil and rod.
