Hello to all:

My son gave me his 87 bmw 325is. A leading problem is with
the speedometer. The unit receives signals from a pulse generator
located in the diff. The pulse gen. checks out fine Next step is to reflow the board located in the inst. dash.

My question is how does one reflow these joints? How do we know if it done correctly . Please help

I am new to this site sorry if i made an error

What do you mean by 'reflow the board'? Do you mean resolder the joints? If so, what is wrong with them now?

I many cars, the solder joints are of poor quality...

See my rather old soldering tutorial at http://www.aaroncake.net/electronics/solder.htm

Within a week the tutorial will be updated so it doesn't suck anymore.
