Hello, I can't remeber if I posted this or not because I cant find it. I'm wondering if there is anyone here who has done veneering before and what worked the best for you. Its for a set of speakers so I want to avoid the use of Hot Hyde Glue so let me know!
Anyway, I simply laid the veneer flat on the board, trimmed to fit, then used wood glue to adhere. A light coat of glue covering the entire surface worked well. I clamped another piece of wood on top and let it set up a few days. Seems to have worked fine.
There is of course a glue specifically designed for veneering. Brush it on to both pieces, let tack up, then lay on your veneer and roll smooth.
Thanks for the info Aaron! I thought I would edit my reply with I tried it and it worked. There was a bit of creep but I cut just a little extra (a little more can be trimmed) and it looks great!
I didn't even know that page existed on here. Great link Aaron
