This fuse is a DC power input fuse? Or on the AC power output?

500 Watts output at 220 volts is somewhere around 2 amps. Use a 2 to 2.5 amp AC voltage rated fuse if it is on the output.

500 watts input at 12VDC is over 40 amps. If this fuse is on the input it should be at LEAST 40 amps, maybe larger.

Without a circuit, the type of IC that is 'fused' can never be known. That is why its marking was rubbed out - to force you to but a new inverter instead of repairing it yourself.
