Hi,our 2002 ford 350 van battery is being drained almost overnite with nothing on.Get 11 volts from ground to chassis.Can run small 12 volt fan when connected from ground to chassis.Any Ideas??.HAve radio disconnect but clock is running in backgroud.

What is the difference between Ground and Chassis? Aren't they the same?

I allways thought so too.what I meant was the ground cable from battery and not connected to van and using a volt meter with plus to chassis and minus on grd cable and getting 11 volts.Where am I getting volts from??.

It sounds like you have a bad connection between battery negative and chassis.

Also, you can isolate the drain by removing fuses one by one. Once you find the fuse that stops the drain, the fault is in that circuit.

But surly, a 2002 model year vehicle should NOT be exhibiting these electrical problems, and should be under warranty anyway.
