Many persons dislike ABS; it lacks complete control, only for a woman and she will still wreck, and for those that can not drive. (RX-7 Club, not exact quotes)

For me I want to restore a '88 Turbo. It came with ABS and during my rebuild I had the unit rebuilt despite the warnings. It never worked. I channeled hate towards the rebuilder but realized I paid good money against Mazda.

I have an opportunity to purchase several units. Some around 200. Should I buy or let bygonnes be bygones? Sunday early evening is the deadline; ebay.

Thanks again,
Jason

Honestly I don't know. I share the same opinion of ABS and have disabled it on on all my other cars.

I suspect that the problem may be with the wiring in the wiring in the area but I'm just guessing.

Did you bleed the pump as the factory service manual describes?

Yes.

I even started going through the service manual and tested the actuators. Eventually my readings didn't "comply" with the recommended parameters but at the same time were inconsistent.

I blamed it on the pump and my lack of electrical (diodes, circuits, etc.) knowledge.

Once I get the car driving I will take it to the dealership and have them test it. The root of the evil will be found.

Cleaned the garage; anyone need a S5 ABS pump, wiring, and brain?

Apparently years ago I purchased this in hopes to bring virtue to my dilapidated system only to realize the pump was for the wrong year.
