My knoledge about DAC stuff is limited really limited! I have been reading through some of this stuff over the last day or so and I wanted to know what someone who knows more about this stuff then I do if they could give me an idea on what they think.
Just trying to sell their product. It's typical audiophile babble. If you're the gou that buys $200 power cords because you think it make your music sound better, then by all means pay attention to that page. But if you don't have $100K worth of speakers sitting next to you (ie. you're not crazy) then it's all just fluff.
99.999% of the population can't tell the difference between a $30 CD player and a $30,000 player (my made up statistic).
Thanks Aaron, I just don't know much about that stuff so I thought I'd ask you on here because you seem to know alot about it so thanks for info! I use to have a fisher CD player and it died so a few years ago I bought a Kenwood and I couldn't believe the difference in the sound quality. I was listening to CD's that I'd had for a few years and had listened to alot and I was hearing things on them that I had not heard before. What was the cause of that? I know that fisher when it was around sucked alot but, what do you think was the reason?
It was just a new player. Better DACs and amps, along with probably better noise reduction. However most of the stuff now is very similar so yeah, maybe the $30 player won't sound as good as the $30K one, but the $150 player will to 99% of people.
