Hey, I need some advice on some injectors if anyone has the time. I'm in the process of turboing my na using the jb weld method with the turbo manifolds. I've read on the rx7club faq that 88's have high imp injectors unlike other s4's.I'm planning to use the turbo 550's at the very least. So what kind of injectors should I get low or high? Should I go bigger, and will they be plug and play or am I gonna need a piggyback or something?
Ideally you would get high impedance injectors to make the swap easy, but it's very difficult to find high impedance injectors larger then 550CC. Since you will want to run 720CC secondaries, you can just put a 10 Ohm 10 Watt resistor in series with each secondary to make it's resistance high enough to be run by the ECU.
Why would you swap ECUs when all you need to do is add resistors to the injectors?
But the answer is still no, because all of the ECUs are set up for low impedance. The harness is different in low impedance cars to already include a resistor pack.
Ah ok I get it now. Well I was figuring if another ecu just plugs and plays whats the point of adding resistors. I guess I was just trying to half ass it. Thanks, much appreciated aaron.
