I am so board. School just let out two weeks ago. I dread the summer because of this. I have nothing to do. Although i could continue learning the newest version of VB (VB2005.net), i have not a thing to do.
Any ideas, anyone? Anything interesting, fun, loud, dangerous, hazardous, anoying, unhealthy, or just plain dumb will be gladly accepted.
I was thinking of putting an old harddrive in a microwave and booting to it, see what happens. Or maybe piss off a spamer? Or maybe a gas powered toaster :)
I don't know, what do you think?

Build a go-kart? Hovercraft? Scooter? Boat? Steam engine? Gas turbine? Make that webserver? Actually learn how your satellite Internet system works ?

Seriously I wish I had the time to be bored.

I watched a special on TV about this lady who was making a cup of instant coffie in the microwave. She got it boilding, then she added the coffie, then, she stired it with a cold spoon. She ended up in the Emergency Room! It wan't funny. She had burn marks on her face, neck, and arms/hands. It makes you wonder....

It is 90°F here right now. And it is only 12:14PM! It is probley going to get alot hotter too. I hate the humidity. But i did make something.
Are you framiliar with thoes scooters that elder people use to get around in super markets and what not? Well, my dad found one in the junk a while ago! I fixed it up alittle(the batteries were missing, so i just dropped a car battery in it), and my sister and i drove it around until she killed the motor(i really hate my sister, i know it is childish, but i hate here). So, i ripped the old 24volt motor(yes 24volt) off of it, and dropped in a 2hp Briggs & Stratton engine in it! It gets going quite fast! Since my driveway is gravel, and my dad wont let be bring it out on the highway, i am stuck with the gravel, and the cement chunk infront of our small garage. I'm guessing it gets about 20mph!
As for the webserver, i can not. It is down way to often like i said in the other post. I did make a simple GeoCities account. www.geocities.com/nerdson1/ I havn't even got around to working on it yet, because my desktop doesn't have Java. My laptop does, so soon i will make a simple one, and post some pictures of the Porche. That is what i dubbed the scooter with the engine on it. Also, i do know how the satallite internet works. I was on tech support with them the otherday, but no one helped me. I don't think they knew what they were talking about.....

That scooter sounds great! I've always said that if I somehow lost the use of my legs I would do exactly the same thing, except as a hybrid. Quiet electric motor for inside, turbo Briggs and Stratton for outside.

I wish I had found an old mobility scooter...The motors and drive components are very high quality.

Yah, it is pritty cool. The only bad thing about it is that it doesn't have any brakes(yet). So, i have to pull a Fred Flinstone, and use my feet to stop it. The tread on my shoes are wareing down fast. Farily soon i would like to upgrade the engine to 3-5hp. Then i won't kill the engine when i start off too fast.
I think it would be cool to own a segway. I saw your little bit on how you drove a segway, it thought it was pritty cool! I purchased a book at walmart a few years back. It was called "TIME: Greatest inventions", or something like that. If you are interesed i will find the book in my clutter and get the title for sure. Anyways, there was a whole artical on how segways work. I must say, it had cool inards!
Ok, back on "Topic". I suggest you go to a few supermarkets around your town. Ask them if they are going to upgrade their scooter supply any time soon. Or just dig through the junkyard. I'm sure you could make something cooler than mine.

I don't have a lot of time to play scooter right now since I'm dead set on getting the RX-7 on the road this summer...Also I still have both my legs.

I have a minor Segway obsession. It's just such an elegant solution for a problem that doesn't exist. I try to ride one at every opportunity, and as soon as the RX-7 is done I'll be purchasing a Li-Ion Segway HT.

What does the HT stand for? Hyper-Transport FSB? Lol.

Munkey, there is no other fealing in the world like the one you get when you create something with your own hands, and then it works. I suggest you start gathering parts, and HAVE FUN!
