We just installed a new radio in the '89 Camaro. Nothing really fancy. A CD player with installation kit (actually worked quite well even though one side of the car's bracket is busted where the previous radio was stolen.) Anyway on the top of the radio it says to use 4 Ohm speakers. Well, the ones in the dash are still stock, 6 or 8 Ohm I believe, and the ones in back are Pioneers, not sure of the Ohms. 6 I believe. Well the volume on the new radio is really touchy (it was almost the same on the old one that came out). I was wondering... would replacing the speakers with 4 Ohm units help solve the touchy volume?
