hey Aaron, I was wondering if anyone here would possibly be interested or if you would be able to add a forum for fixing, modifying electronics where we can swap manuals and scematic on things we need help with. I know I have personally posted a few questions on things I would like to service...

I can add an "Electronics Repair" subforum under the main Electronics area. Is that what you're looking for ?
I am also SLOWLY working on updating the whole site, which will include a new version of the forum with many improvements.

hay Arron heres a thought to consider
go to http://invisionfree.com/ and make a whole new board, like an update and in the new board post a link to the old board
i get angry with slow loading boards and this is one of the slower ones on my list
just a thought

Slow? There are occasional slowdown times, but I surf this forum every day and page transitions are about 1 to 2 seconds, which is faster then most forums I visit. Is there a specific point where find it slow?
I just surfe a few random forums on that website. This is my impression:
1. The server seems fast 2. However, each page bogs down my browser to the point where it hangs for a minute rendering 3. Full of ads
Aside from those issues, moving to a 3rd part would mean:
1. Less control. Since this forum currently sits on a server in my basement, I can do basically anything I want with it. 2. Backup. How am I supposed to backup a forum hosted by a 3rd party? 3. What if they decide to close down? I assume the forum data is lost. 4. Or what if they start charging?
Now, I do agree that this forum is a little out of date. I'm running a very old version of Snitz, from about 2000 or so. There have been several upgrades. I just have not had the time to actually apply them. The current hope is that this winter I will update the site.
