how do i make a furnace to melt brass in my backyard

Look at the design of a commercial furnace? Normally it's a large propane flame force fed with oxygen.

Brass furnace
I did have a look at dans workshop in canada he has built his little Bertha that melts aly and brass useing a circula element takeing about 30 amps@110v =15a@230v about 5kW
i was thinking if i use 6 1000w bar elements arranged round a circle stood up with pot in the middle ,watch this space??? BAZ
