Anyone knows the name of those 40+ Foot sling things that they use to launch Pumpkins? Im Looking to build a small scale one that will be about a 1 foot model and trying to get a range of about 10+ feet by launching a small IC chip. They look like catapults but i think they have a diffrent name and a diffrent way of firing.

Perhaps you are refering to a trebuchet? I've seen a few them on TV that throw cars across fields.

Yea thats it, i seen these guys on tv also launching cars, TVs, And other big stuff.

My neighbour built a small one. Threw a 5LB weight about 300 feet.

the catapults that are mad tite are those kinda sling catapults that the used in lord of the rings the return of the king to lonch huge rocks from the minestereth fort those are tight
