i want to build a digital voltage read out for the power supply to my amps. i want a read out displayed on a 7segment LED display
only problem is i know nothing about how to design anything digital or even anything but the most basic circuit

does anyone know where i could download a circuit diagram or anything like this????

This is famous one-chip voltmeter. The cost is about $6. Plus 3 or 4 7-segment LEDs -another $6, plus other parts.Costwise, just buy a cheap digital multimeter ($15 from Radio Shack) and light it up with a couple of regular LEDs.
