hey,
just for the record, i am not a stupid little immature fuckhead who is making resposnible people look bad... :)
okay, i have recently been trying to make batteries explode.
i basically want a cheap ass fire cracker type thing. i have opened up the batteries and tried to light the stuff inside, (which i believe the black charcoal type stuff is Alkaline and the metal is zinc). it doesnt work...
i was wondering if u guys could inform me of how i can actually make a battery explode, or use something from the battery to make some sort of firecracker type thing.

PS: if you cant help me in any way about the batteries, could u please, please tell me a way of making something that i could put in a tube, light the fuse and it goes bang and could do damage (not that i intend on damaging anything) if this helps, i have ; potassium nitrate, sulfur, bleach, chlorine tablets. i have lots of other things, but there is afew. dont say "make gunpowder" though. thankyou!

Uh... the crap in batteries is highly toxic. Even if you don't blow yourself up or melt through something, the smoke from any explosion would NOT be good for your health, nor would any residue left around the detonation site. Many batteries contain highly toxic metals, like Cadmium or Mercury, which can do very unpleasant things to you a long time after you have been exposed. That's why you're supposed to drop used batteries off at a recycling depot, rather then throwing them in the garbage.
If you are looking for noisemakers, etc, go to your local hobby store.
