It is almost fine. I like color choice and the picture as well. But, if you do not mind comments, you should try to format it so it fits into one screen, preferably of 800x600 size which people still use a lot. (look how www.msn.com is formatted - the page is longer than 600 but all info fits into 800 horisontal pixels, so one who needs scrolling needs only to go up/down). Besides that, lot of space (right and left from the picture) is just wasted now. And double banner on the top looks double annoying to me.. Otherwise it looks great. I have seen many commercial sites made MUCH worse than yours.. great start!

Thanks. I don't know what you are saying about the format, but it seems to show up fine in 600x800 (witch is waaay to chunky for me). If you are saying you shoudn't have to scrool, then yea, fixing the banners shoud fix that. I looked around the site and they said the double banners where caused by bad HTML. (they automatically add in the banner code) you can look at my sorce code here: http://daxter12.topcities.com/construction/hompage.txt
I looked it over and it seemed fine but it might be wrong.
I might put the picture on the left and add some text over there if I can, but I can't make any promises.
I did all the graphics in Paint. I had alot of free time.

Yes, you are right. Sorry. I checked it again, switching first to 800x600 and it still works fine. Should try first , complain next :) So, it's just the overall height. Noscrolling at all is the best. And working links also :) Good luck!

Yeah you could make the image smaller (about the size of the banners) so that the links are on the page when it first opens. you could also use frames or tables to put the links over to one of the sides
as for the banner, I see it twice in the code.

Fixed the double banner, I had 2 "body" statemnets that confused the webserver.
Ill see oI I can downsize the picture and set it off to the right with all the links on the left.

It looks great. To make it look better, use Geocities, as they dont have that big annoying banner at the top of every website. www.geocities.com/flafhq/ a website i made using First Page 2000, and a WYSIWYG Editor. Oh excuse the header, as i forgot to put one!

if you go to www.javascripts.com you can find numerous scripts that can change your scroll bars. My favorite editor is underconstruction 98. It has a long trial time, and has alot of features.

I like TopCities because I do not like Geocities' banner on the side. Plus, TopCities gives me 150 megs of space free.

Yea, but you can close the "pop-up". And it can be avoided if you use a Pop-Up Blocker (like the google search bar). And even tho geocities have 15 MB, thats still a number or pictures and maybe 2 or 3 animations. But i dont place many pictures on my website, but i like to have ad free webpages. Oh, i used FrontPage Express, because i used a template on my website. And the best way to edit templates is WYSIWYG Editors. But, i do know HTML.
P.S.

well, as soon as i can set up my own webserver in my home, the banners stay. As for using a WYSIWYG HTML editor, those things bore the hell out of me. I tried it that way, but never finished.

Scroll bars? All I saw was an under construction page...
However, my popup blocker stopped like 5 popups...Might want to look into a different host.
