Well, they didnt steal the car but they stole the Cage that is in a Ford Explorer Sports Trac. Now im worried that they will come to get the runnung boards and the Heavy Grill. For you who dont know what a Cage is, its a thing that extends the bed space. Is there any thing i can do to it. Any forensic Science or curcuits. I just got a motion sensor/flood light. Thank you.

well those bed extenders are really really easy to take out (like you pull out a pin)...thats why we leave ours at home unless we plan to use it.
The running boards and the grill are a hundred times harder to take off...and it would be hard to do without some one noticing

im pretty shure that the one on my Mom's isnt tied into the alarm system. and to take it off there is a pin that you pull out and the whole thing comes out. its pretty easy to take out. She only puts it in the back when she needs it

Is there some way you could put a padlock on the pin? It seems like the simplest solution. A good quality padlock can at least deter casual or opportunistic theft.

If it's parked in your driveway, then a floodlight will do wonders. Motion sensitive units are available cheap. Also, a good "fake" camera in an obvious location (big blinking red light) will be a good deterrant.
