Howdy,
Long time no post on here for me.
Just to let you all know i got my FC turbo charged again. I actually only even contemplated doing it this tuesday, theres a street drag meet this friday (tonight) so i thought I'd try and pull an allright time.

Now I wont tell you all too many specs just yet until I get some photos, but it basically the same as last time except I'm using a verry different turbo :)
Oh yeah and now i have a microtech on it :)

Microtech computer
Still have stock 460cc injectors
Supra 3l intercooler
3in dump pipe
3 1/2in piping to the turbo..
2 1/4in piping from turbo to intercooler/throttle body
Series 6 fuel pump

Now im using the stock S4 wastegate on this hybrid t3/t4 style turbo and im getting full boost (4psi) at about 3,500rpm :) That 4psi is at the throttle body, not the turbo outlet, which would account for the 1psi i seem to be missing hehe.

Now for the good news, on a VERY conservative fuel/timing map it has noticibly more power at 4psi than my stock S4 turbo had at 7 psi... which i find very interesting..
It does spool up a little later, but oh well I dont mind :)

I might do a little more tunning today and maybe up the boost a bit, but im happy with it like it is for now.

I'll let you know what times i pull tonight, im only realistically expecting a high 14/15.0 because of the rather rough tune and I don't want to rev it right out just yet.. and not to mention it will be about 35deg C. and about 100% humidity.. :(

Glad to hear you have it running. I'm currently looking at a similar turbo. I had considered something much larger, but had packaging concerns (it just wouldn't fit in the engine bay). So I'll probably have a local builder hybridize mine as well...

My only worry is with your injector sizes. You must be getting very close to 100% duty cycle on those babies. At high duty cycles, weird things happen. They can stick, or just slightly quiver instead of actually opening and closing.

Yeah I have some big injectors sitting in my room, just going to get them cleaned and flow tested first.

My best last night was a 14.8, which im not very happy about but it is only roughly tuned (Verrry rich), It was my first time ever drag racing and I have some intake leaks I need to fix.
But then again I can't be too picky, it was only on 4Psi I guess :)
Next run I was racing another FC with a highflowed S4 turbo and a microtech, exhaust/intake and shit and i kept with him all the way though 3rd on one run but then i backed off because it miss fired and he went on to do a 13.7! :-(
I need to get it tunned properly..

My gearbox finally crapped itself last night though, first gear is nearly impossible to find, hehe, time for that S5 turbo box i've always wanted i think.

Mental note: Don't flat shift with a half powerful turbo engine on an N/A trans! hehe

I'm surprised you're having transmission troubles. The NA transmissions are alot stronger then people realise (most just parrot "they are weak" because they've heard it before). I have seriously abused mine at 10+ PSI and had no power-related problems. I did kill two, but it was because both lost oil seals on the highway and seized from lack of lube...

Well funny you should say that, i always thought they were stronger than people made them out to be. However, Im now thinking my problem is the selector fork is farked, not the actual gear/enguagement mechanism. The shifter/selector has always been pretty farked on my box, it's not the best box in the world thats for sure. :)

I can still drive it, just have to take off in 2nd since i can't get first now...
