OOkie then Cris, you design and build the project, come over rig it up to my lawnmower and i'll be a few meters away from you behing a concrete wall when you try to start it...
You know what? Hydrogen is VERY difficult to ignite in the open. You could get a 10LB H tank, put the valve wide open in your driveway, and still not get it to ignite. And it is very difficult to enclose hydrogen and make it build up since the molecules are so small...they diffuse out of almost eveything.
Hydrogen is actually several orders of magnatude safer then gasoline....I'm really sick and tired of people parroting what they hear in the media about hydrogen, and doing nothing but spreading FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) due to their own ignorance.
I blame the Hindenburg for all the bad press hydrogen has received. It's not the hydrogen's fault that the hindenburg was covered in an extremely flamable paint. I wonder how they managed to decide to use that particular paint anyway? Did they just not know how flamable it was or something? Crazy.
