Posted - Jun 14 2011 : 2:38:34 PM I was racing these two japanese guys on a 4 player racing. They both had 600hp Z cars, the works. All I had was a 1990 GXL with only a "Stage 2" turbo upgrade producing 320hp. We all had 5 speeds. We started the race and they got ahead by about a car length. As soon as we hit a straight away, I shifted to 3rd and stayed there through 8k and as they caught up, I shifted to 4th and smoked them both. Games are definitely getting more realistic in engine potential, and taking car weight into consideration.
Oh, and I graduated high school yesterday. |

Posted - Jun 15 2011 : 2:08:00 PM That Stunts game actually looks pretty fun. I'll have to search for it. Reminds me of Street Rod 1 and 2. |

Posted - Jun 15 2011 : 12:55:09 PM Oh yeah! Now this is what I'm talkin bout. http://forzamotorsport.net/ I think I saw an orange McLaren F1 on one of the pages. I think I will buy this game.
Ha! Compare that to this one. Stunts! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stunts_%28video_game%29 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CITIXlw_T4 This game was born the same year as me! |

Posted - Jun 15 2011 : 10:28:13 AM I am playing this drag racing game on my android tablet and true enough, it was taking the physics category very seriously. Unlike before when you just have to step on the gas and hit the brakes occasionally for you to win.
They even mentioned there the lighter cars are better in shorter races but are going to be smoked off on long races. You also have the capability to remove excess weight but must take into consideration the proper balance so that the car will still perform. |

Yes, car physics are actually more harder to simulate accurately than flying simulations. They are definitely becoming more and more realistic.
"Oh, and I graduated high school yesterday." You make me feel old. LOL. Not really. I graduated 3+1/2 years ago.
EDIT: Oh yeah I almost forgot. GameStop will accept your DNF pre-order. |
