Posted - Feb 05 2011 : 12:57:09 AM I don't watch the news much but I have only heard of one person dying because of the cyclone. He died because he was using a generator in a room where he was staying and he didn't vent the fumes. |

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 10:52:02 AM Some people in Queensland have learnt their lesson and so after having their house destroyed once they rebuilt their house on stilts.
I have heard that a long time ago this continent was once a sea bed anyway. This place is going to turn into Venice one day I know it. Global warming is causing those polar caps to melt. Parts of Melbourne are flooded thanks to the hangover the cyclone left us. It's hot, humid, raining and electric... but I love it.

Posted - Feb 04 2011 : 10:01:13 AM Just move to Queensland later. Propertly will likely be cheap after it is all under water. That sucks though. The weather in Australia has been unreal. |

Posted - Feb 02 2011 : 01:35:13 AM It looks like it's not over yet. A category 5 cyclone is heading towards Queensland. 300km/h winds are expected. To compare with something we might be familiar with, the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron can reach speeds of around 400km/h. This has kind of ended my idea of moving to Queensland. |

"Just hold tight, ma'am, we're coming to get you!" |

"Police say the fate of the dolls is unknown."

" Police say the 19-year-old couple had just passed Pound Bend Tunnel at Warrandyte North when the water became turbulent and the woman lost control of her grip on the doll about 4.30pm (AEDT) on Sunday." |

Posted - Jan 13 2011 : 10:47:22 PM The weathers gone absolutely bonkers. We've got fires on the west and flooding on the east. So much for fires in Victoria because that's what usually happens. Now we've got warm humid weather with lots of rain. WTF! It's usually hot with all the grass dead!
It has been said that Australia was never intended for people. |

Posted - Jan 13 2011 : 09:23:26 AM Hmmm...should I move my car? Or..."Hello, insurance. You won't believe what happened...".
I've been seeing the footage on TV and hearing about it on the Oz rotary forums I visit. 3+ weeks of solid rain...Yikes.
Stupid reporters saying "Queensland looks like a war zone!". Well no, genius, it looks like a flood zone. |
