hi i was reading the potatoe gun physics page and i figured out another way (maybe easier) to find the muzzle velocity. time the thing as it flies through the air, take half of that (time to apex) and tg/sin theta = v naught. its basically from t=v-v naught/g. v is 0 at apex so t=-v naught/g for 1/2 the flight. but since we arent firing it straight up into the air the v naught we find is v naught y which is v naught sin theta (angle of the launcher, 45 degrees is the best range)
