Posted - Apr 03 2007 : 10:44:49 AM Radioshack also sell the copper boards: http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=copper%20clad%20board&origkw=copper%20clad%20board&sr=1
I don't know about the Canadian prices because their site doesn't seem to work. If you have a electronics store they should sell copper clad boards. |

Posted - Mar 30 2007 : 09:35:15 AM Years ago I was the worlds 3rd greatest dumpster diver. I had a complete kit of parts specifically set up for dumpster diving that I kept in the saddle bags on my bike. Butane powered soldering and glue gun, cordless screwdriver with a set of small drill bits (for removing rivits), various flashlights, tools for pounding (sometimes a hammer is the most effective way to remove something) and appropriate straps and duct tape to secure things to the rack on the back of the bike.
I would go out several times a week to the various electronics repair stores around my place and grab what I could. One day I walked away with at least 5 large boxes of brand new vacuum tubes. Still have them. There must be several hundred...The key is to know what you want to take. Don't get destracted by the brand new shiny TV that you just KNOW you can fix for a few dollars...It's in the dumpster for a reason. |

Posted - Mar 29 2007 : 6:31:26 PM Yeah dude, sometimes you can go to electronics repair shops and see if there are old bits an pices that the guys don't want. On thoes special trash days that happen like twice a year (In ontario) you can put out all your old broken electrincs that the normal dump people don't pick up. you can go around and find lots of junk. That is what I do! haha
