Flashes sporadically? Or does it seem to pulse on and off at a set time interval? Sometimes electronics have diagnostic codes that tell what's wrong with it. For example, the xbox 360. The red rings of death can display different codes depending on how many of the LEDs are on and which ones are on. If it's flickering there could be a bad connection. Is it new?
